A journey that connects: 20 new talents arrive from Egypt to join the Lagardère Travel Retail Italia team

06 June 2025 - from Cairo to Venice: 20 new dining professionals, soon to be reached by

5 others, join the team of Lagardère Travel Retail Italia, the first Italian foodservice company to implement an international cross-boarding project.

A special journey has begun for 20 dining professionals from Egypt, ready to join the team at Venice Marco Polo Airport.

Thanks to Randstad's Crossboarding project, Lagardère Travel Retail Italia is enriched with new skills, experiences and cultures: a concrete sign of how work can be a powerful engine for inclusion, growth and dialogue between people.

Before their departure, the new colleagues underwent a training course of about 80 hours, during which they were able to develop their knowledge of the Italian language, civic education and the technical skills needed to work in the shops at Marco Polo Airport.

Upon their arrival in Italy, they will be involved in a targeted induction process: a gradual integration into the teams, operational coaching and continuous training on service, procedures and shop management.

This is not just about recruiting but about building together a future in which work enhances talent, breaks down distances and creates real opportunities for everyone.
